On August 14, 2025, Mahindra took the automotive world by surprise with the launch of the BE 6 Batman Edition — the world’s first commercially available Batman-inspired SUV. This bold creation was born from a collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP) and pays tribute to the legacy of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Trilogy. The aim was to merge the sophistication of an electric SUV with the timeless cultural impact of Gotham’s vigilante hero.
Pratap Bose, Mahindra’s Chief Design & Creative Officer, described the design philosophy as “personal, visually arresting, and layered with cinematic storytelling.” Every element of the BE 6 Batman Edition has been crafted with obsessive attention to detail, ensuring that owners will discover something new each time they look at it. From the matte black bodywork to the subtle nods to Batman’s emblematic style, the SUV delivers an immersive, almost collectible feel rather than just being a mode of transport.
The partnership between Mahindra and Warner Bros. goes beyond mere branding. India, in particular, stands out as one of the most passionate fan bases for Batman in South Asia, making this limited-run model a strategic and emotional fit for the market.
