Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan marked his directorial debut with Netflix’s much-talked-about series The Bads of Bollywood. Ahead of its release, a grand screening was hosted at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai, drawing some of the biggest names from the film industry.
The Khan family was present in full support — Shah Rukh, Gauri, Suhana, and little AbRam accompanied Aryan on his big night. Adding to the glamour, several Bollywood stars walked the red carpet, including Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn with Kajol, Madhuri Dixit with Shriram Nene, Vicky Kaushal, Ananya Panday, Tamannaah Bhatia, and designer Manish Malhotra. The Ambani family, including Nita Ambani, Mukesh Ambani, and Isha Ambani, also graced the evening, highlighting the buzz surrounding Aryan’s debut.
On stage, Aryan confessed to feeling nervous, even bringing a written speech and teleprompter backup “just in case.” He thanked his team, the cast, and his mother Gauri Khan, who has produced the series under Red Chillies Entertainment. His father Shah Rukh Khan encouraged fans to judge Aryan’s work independently and extend the same love to his children if they enjoy their projects.

The Bads of Bollywood is a six-episode satirical action-comedy that delves into the dazzling yet complex world of the Hindi film industry. Starring Lakshya Lalwani, Raghav Juyal, Sahher Bambba, Bobby Deol, Mona Singh, and Manoj Pahwa, the series offers a mix of glamour, struggles, and behind-the-scenes drama. Reports also suggest cameo appearances from industry heavyweights like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, and Karan Johar, adding further curiosity.
The narrative aims to portray the struggles of dreamers and insiders in Bollywood while also playing with humour, satire, and bold commentary. Interestingly, Aryan has even included references that lightly touch upon his own past controversies, showcasing a self-aware edge.
Slated to premiere on September 18, 2025, on Netflix, Aryan Khan’s debut promises to bring a refreshing take on Bollywood’s glitter and grit. With industry veterans cheering him on, expectations are high for this stylish and satirical new series.
