In a major development for government job aspirants in the state, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini officially announced the Haryana CET 2025 exam dates for Group C posts. The announcement brings clarity and momentum for thousands preparing for state-level employment through the Common Eligibility Test (CET) conducted by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC).
Exam Dates Confirmed
As per the CM’s statement, the HSSC CET Group C examination will be conducted over two days — July 26 and 27, 2025. The exams will take place in four shifts, with two sessions scheduled for each day — morning and afternoon. The schedule has been carefully planned to accommodate the large number of candidates expected to appear.
The CET serves as a gateway exam for recruitment to Group C and D posts in various Haryana government departments, boards, and corporations. It is part of the state’s initiative to simplify recruitment through a single-window eligibility test.

Exam Format & Pattern
The CET Group C exam will be an offline OMR-based test, consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions carrying 1 mark each. The total duration of the exam will be 1 hour and 45 minutes. Notably, there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers, but leaving a question blank will result in a deduction of 1 mark, a unique feature introduced to discourage guesswork and promote attempt clarity.
