Motorola has officially confirmed the arrival of the Moto G86 Power 5G in India on July 30, 2025, at 12:00 PM IST. The announcement was made via Motorola India’s official account on X and the launch will be live-streamed on Flipkart and Motorola’s Indian website. This follows its earlier global unveiling in May, and the India debut is scheduled just a few weeks later for eager consumers
One of the major highlights of the Moto G86 is its stunning 6.67-inch P-OLED display. It offers a crisp resolution of 1220 x 2712 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. The display also boasts an impressive peak brightness of 4500 nits, ensuring visibility even under direct sunlight. Protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, the phone is designed to handle minor drops and scratches, giving it a more premium touch.
Under the hood, the Moto G86 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, a 4nm chip designed for power efficiency and solid multitasking. The device comes in two variants: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, expandable via a microSD card. It also features RAM Boost technology, allowing virtual memory expansion up to 24GB, making it suitable for gaming, streaming, and productivity tasks.

Motorola has equipped the G86 with a 50MP primary rear camera featuring Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), ensuring sharper images and better low-light performance. It is paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. On the front, there’s a 32MP selfie camera, capable of shooting detailed portraits and 4K video—a rare feature in this price segment.
The Indian variant of the Moto G86 comes with a 6720mAh battery, slightly larger than the global variant. It supports 33W TurboPower charging, offering extended usage for heavy users. Whether it’s gaming, watching videos, or using GPS, the phone is built to last throughout the day on a single charge.
What sets the Moto G86 apart is its IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, MIL-STD-810H durability rating, and long-term software support, including Android 15 out of the box and guaranteed OS and security updates. This is rare in the mid-range segment and reflects Motorola’s attempt to offer flagship-like features at a competitive price.
