Yamaha has long been a trusted name among Indian two-wheeler enthusiasts. From the legendary RX100 that ruled the streets in the 80s and 90s to the FZ series that brought muscular styling to the 150cc segment, Yamaha has consistently delivered motorcycles that combine performance with dependability. Its bikes aren’t just machines—they’re part of a rider’s lifestyle. Over decades, Yamaha has earned a loyal following by offering a riding experience that’s both thrilling and refined.
Carrying forward this tradition of innovation and excitement, Yamaha introduced the MT series in India—a streetfighter lineup inspired by its global “Master of Torque” philosophy. The MT-15, tailored for Indian riders, quickly gained popularity for its bold design, agile handling, and punchy engine. It stood out with its aggressive look and upright riding stance, capturing the imagination of young riders who wanted more than just a commuter bike.
Now, in 2025, Yamaha has taken the MT legacy to the next level with the launch of the MT-15 Version 2.0. This new model represents a major leap—not just in terms of features, but in the way Yamaha connects with its modern rider base. The MT-15 V2.0 Deluxe variant now comes equipped with a fully digital 5-inch TFT instrument cluster. This smart display offers turn-by-turn navigation, SMS and call alerts, fuel consumption details, last parking location, and even a ride ranking system, all powered by Yamaha’s Y-Connect app. This is a bold move, bringing smart tech features to the 150cc category like never before.

Under the hood, the new MT-15 continues with its tried-and-tested 155cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 18.4 PS at 10,000 rpm and 14.1 Nm at 7,500 rpm. Paired with a 6-speed gearbox and assist & slipper clutch, the bike delivers a smooth and responsive riding experience—be it for city streets or weekend rides. Visually, the 2025 model gets fresh appeal with new colors like Ice Storm, Vivid Violet Metallic, and Metallic Silver Cyan, giving it a sharper, edgier presence on the road.
With a starting price of ₹1.69 lakh for the Standard variant and ₹1.80 lakh for the Deluxe, Yamaha has struck a fine balance between premium features and affordability. The MT-15 V2.0 is aimed at the urban youth and early professionals who want style, performance, and connectivity—all in one package.
This latest launch is more than just a product update—it’s a statement. Yamaha has shown that it understands the evolving needs of Indian riders and is ready to deliver feature-rich machines that blend power with practicality. The MT-15 Version 2.0 is not just a continuation of a legacy, but a bold step into the future of street biking in India.
